Friday Favorites #4

This strawberry shirt looks absolutely perfect for summer! The print is so fresh and cute!

I have been looking for the perfect, floral crop top, and I think I found it!

This vintage, floral playsuit from the 60s is gorgeous!

I know this is a little silly, but my heart stopped when I saw this pin. Data (from Star Trek: The Next Generation) was one of my first loves (and still is)! I would sport this brooch with pride!

Okay, I know this one is even more ridiculous, but you have no idea how badly I want this Ryan Gosling ring!! I am currently completely obsessed with him, he's just too perfect.

Sweet Sleepwear

Okay, confession time. I have always had the weirdest obsession with sleepwear. I like to have a variety of different options for what to sleep in, choices that range from cute to comfy and everything in between. I have a hard time just walking by the pajama section in Target! When I first discovered Etsy and found that it was possible to buy vintage clothing over the internet (Gasp! High school me was so thrilled!), I was so excited that I would finally be able to buy a vintage, peignor set.

"Peignoir" comes from the French word peigner, which means "to comb the hair", which is the perfect name, in my opinion. When I think of peignoir nightgowns, I picture glamourous women with big hair sitting in front of vanitys, brushing their hair with a silver-handled brush. They are the pinnacle of vintage glamour. I now own a pretty, lemon meringue-colored number from the 60s, but now I'm starting to think that that might not be enough! I don't think I'll be able to stop at just one! Here are some of the other pretty, pastel-colored peignoir sets offered on Etsy.

This mint one is beautiful, and the perfect length.

I am obsessed with pink right now, so I am positively drooling over this one!

Another gorgeous, peachy pink one!

How about a robin's egg blue set? LOVE the lace appliques.

Another pink set! I just can't resist!

The sleeves and lace on this set are absolutely perfect.

Friday Favorites #3

These are so so SO cute and perfect for summer. That color is gorgeous! I am so obsessed with pink. c:

I realized recently that I don't have very many short-sleeved shirts for some reason. I've been on a hunt to fix that and found this little number. LOVE it!

I am the type who always has to have merch to flaunt my nerdy-ness. I've wanted one of these mugs ever since they appeared in Community!

I have this ridiculous problem where I always buy/want to buy sunglasses but I always forget to wear them. :/ But these are just so gosh darn cute, and cheap!

I have been absolutely pining after the vinyl record of Lana Del Rey's album Born to Die: Paradise Edition. I've mentioned it several times to my family, so fingers crossed that it ends up in my pile of birthday gifts (less than a month away)!

Hey Funky Bunny

Saw this spread from CosmoGirl and fell absolute in love with the creamy pastels and the kawaii accessories. I would kill to have every piece from this spread! Also, this makes me want to dye my hair a pretty color even more!

Friday Favorites #2 - Pretty Pastels

I'm in the market for some new earbuds (I run through those like it's my job!) and stumbled upon these. They're so cute, I just want to eat them up!

A pastel kitty shirt!! Need I say more?

This floral headband is so dreamy! I adore the creamy pastels!

The sudden rise of warm weather has got me day-dreaming about pretty, high-waisted bikinis to lounge in on the beach. This one is absolutely gorgeous!!

I have a steadily-growing collection of nerdy t-shirts, but it's difficult to come by really nicely designed ones. I was really happy to stumble upon this one, it's quite pretty!

I recently discovered that they released the OST for Drive on vinyl -- AND IT'S PINK! Excuse me while I drool over it. My birthday's coming up in about a month, so I think it's time to drop some hints to my parents. ;)

Dreaming of tattoos...

I've always liked the idea of tattoos for as long as I can remember. The only problem is, I only like them on other people. I have a natural fear of commitment, and the idea of getting a piece of art permanently tattooed on my body is a little less than terrifying! But lately, I've been kind of warming up to the idea of starting out with a small, simple, easily-hidable tattoo, just to see what it's like. The internet is an endless source of inspiration, so here are some examples of tattoos I could actually see myself having. I've had a couple strong ideas that I really like, but I'm planning to sit on them for a year or two to make sure that I still want them.

The one I'm really leaning towards is a crescent moon between my shoulder blades. I've always sort of weirdly identified with the moon. I've always been a night person, so she's always been my very good friend. I was inspired to get a moon tattoo from a line from a play adaptation of Frankenstein. When the creature stumbles upon a cottage, he is taken in by the blind man who lives there. Once, while they are out on a walk, the old man asks the creature to describe the moon to him. While you expect him to say "beautiful" or "bright", he just answers with the word "solitary". I've always been a very self-reliant person and I'm able to get by on my own. I'm introverted, and I like spending time just by myself sometimes. This tattoo would serve to symbolize my independence, as well as being really, really pretty. c:

Is this shirt not to-die-for? I can definitely picture myself wearing this shirt while lounging on the beach. It'd be the perfect shirt for summer. Want!

How sweet is this dress? Lately, I haven't been much into wearing dresses or skirts, but this one is just perfect! I love the drop waist, the structure piping, and -of course- adore the color!

I've seen these adorable kitty shoes on several blogs, but when I would check the links, I was always disappointed to find them wayyyy out of my price range. I finally found some that are friendly enough for my college student budget!

Community Lovin'

I've never really been much of a big TV watcher. It was always difficult for me to remember to watch every week, and it was easier for me to commit to a movie for a few hours, or a tv show that was on Netflix so that I could have all-day marathons and watch as many episodes as I wanted. However, I'm planning to try and make a change, because I believed I have discovered the perfect TV show.

Community has been on the air since 2009 and is currently in the middle of its fourth season. After seeing hilarious gif sets on tumblr for months to spark my interest, I finally decided to look it up and figure out just what the heck this show was about. The show follows a motley crew study group at a community college, all in different walks of life.

And, I'm telling you, this show is absolutely H-I-L-A-R-I-O-U-S. It's not every day that you find a show that makes you roll on the floor with laughter. It honestly feels like someone peeked into my brain and made a show out of the contents inside. I wish I could effectively explain how brilliant this show is, but words cannot describe. It is so fresh and clever compared to most shows I've seen on tv, and I've already started buying mugs and t-shirts with quotes from the show. It's a problem. A wonderful, hilarious problem.

I only just started watching it about a week and a half ago, and I made it through three and a half seasons! The episodes are only thirty minutes long (so, about 20 minutes without commercials), and I believe that all the episodes are available on hulu. I strongly suggest you check it out!
