Dreaming of tattoos...

I've always liked the idea of tattoos for as long as I can remember. The only problem is, I only like them on other people. I have a natural fear of commitment, and the idea of getting a piece of art permanently tattooed on my body is a little less than terrifying! But lately, I've been kind of warming up to the idea of starting out with a small, simple, easily-hidable tattoo, just to see what it's like. The internet is an endless source of inspiration, so here are some examples of tattoos I could actually see myself having. I've had a couple strong ideas that I really like, but I'm planning to sit on them for a year or two to make sure that I still want them.

The one I'm really leaning towards is a crescent moon between my shoulder blades. I've always sort of weirdly identified with the moon. I've always been a night person, so she's always been my very good friend. I was inspired to get a moon tattoo from a line from a play adaptation of Frankenstein. When the creature stumbles upon a cottage, he is taken in by the blind man who lives there. Once, while they are out on a walk, the old man asks the creature to describe the moon to him. While you expect him to say "beautiful" or "bright", he just answers with the word "solitary". I've always been a very self-reliant person and I'm able to get by on my own. I'm introverted, and I like spending time just by myself sometimes. This tattoo would serve to symbolize my independence, as well as being really, really pretty. c:
