(Casually skips Day 14. I don't read much non-fiction. Plus, this post coincides well with my last post.)

Fan-fiction is a relatively unappreciated perk of the internet that sometimes comes with a bad rep. It is automatically assumed to be creepy and explicit, and although that can be true with some stories, others are quite the opposite. It's really touch and go, and you have to know what you're searching for. I, myself, am a big supporter of fan-fiction. I mean, these people are writing and posting their works on the internet for free for other people to read for free! How great is that? And there are some really talented writers out there! Though, I would just suggest staying away from M-rated works your first time exploring the world of fan-fiction.

This particular fan-fic is only one chapter long, so it's not a very long read, but it's just as compelling! It's a fan-fic from the BBC Sherlock fandom - the modern Sherlock Holmes TV show adaptation that I mentioned in my last post - my favorite TV show! It starts out with Sherlock and John on a case, and John gets stabbed by a criminal, and... well, I would tell you more about the plot, but I don't want to give anything away! Just, trust me, it is well worth reading! :)

The fanfic can be found here:
Waking You Up

Enjoy!
